The following Terms & Conditions of Sale apply to all contracts of sale made by the Company to the exclusion of any contrary or inconsistent terms or conditions contained or referred to in the customers order (unless otherwise agreed to in writing by both parties
These conditions shall be governed construed and shall take effect in accordance with the Laws of England and shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the English Courts.
The customer shall be deemed to have accepted these conditions when a payment for goods sold through the SHOP is made, unless notice in writing to the contrary is received by the Company within seven days from receipt of goods. This "cooling off" period is required under the Which? Web Trader Code of Practice. All prices are subject to alteration and are only accepted on the understanding that goods will be involved at prices ruling at the date of order (unless otherwise agreed in writing by the Company)
The property in the goods shall not pass until payment has been made in full by the customer.
The customer shall not be entitled to make any claim in respect of goods delivered unless written notice is given to the Company within a reasonable period from receipt of delivery. In default of such notice, goods delivered shall be deemed to be in accordance with the contract description in all respects including weight and quality. No claims shall be made against the Company for any defect in the goods except such as it deems may be attributable to defective workmanship or materials, always provided responsibility is accepted by the Company's suppliers.
Abel Magnets Ltd is a manufacturing company and offers items for sale through the SHOP that are produced in its factory subject to the high standards of quality and inspection required to compete successfully in UK and overseas markets.
Customers are required to satisfy themselves that goods ordered will be suitable for the purpose for which they are required.
If goods are delivered faulty or damaged please contact us immediately. We want to understand the nature of any problems and prefer to speak directly to our customers. However, if we are unable to resolve the problem, we will arrange for the return of goods sold through the SHOP for a full refund including any postage and packaging costs. We ask that you return the goods directly to us in their original condition and packaging if possible within fourteen days of receipt. Following receipt a full refund will be given. It is your responsibility to ensure safe delivery of the returned goods.
No claim in respect of material lost or damaged in transit can be considered unless a written complaint is made to the Company as soon as is reasonably possible following receipt, and the delivery is receipt noted accordingly.
Goods sold through the SHOP are usually posted and will not be insured in transit except at the customers request and cost. If any packages arrive that are obviously damaged in transit, please contact us immediately so we can initiate a claim against the Post Ofiice. This will not affect your statutory rights as stated above.
Any refunds due are made as soon as possible taking into account the original method of payment.
All complaints will be acknowledged within five working days. All customers will be informed of progress on a regular basis. We can accept payment by the credit cards illustrated in the SHOP. If you prefer to pay by cheque, please contact us first to confirm all the details. Your goods will be despatched subject to clearance. Cheques should be made payable to Abel Magnets Ltd.
We are committed to protecting your privacy. We will only use the information given to us lawfully at the time of ordering (in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998). We require to collect information about you to firstly process your order, and secondly to provide you with the best service we can. Any information other than your delivery address will not be passed on to any third party.
Once we have dealt with your order we will only contact you if we feel we have a service or promotion which may interest you. We are a manufacturing company and do not have a policy to send out marketing material to our customers.
